How to Install Indicator

Once you have the mq4 file, you must place it in the proper MetaTrader 4 directory. If you do not have MetaTrader 4, you should find a broker offering a free trial such as FXBeam, Alpari etc. they will provide you with a free demo account where you can test the indicator program.

1. Once you have MetaTrader installed, make sure you remember the directory that was installed into. Normally this is your Program Files directory inside of your Windows installation (i.e. c:/program files/Metatrader4)
2. Once you have found your MetaTrader installation directory, you must copy the file into the experts/indicators directory. Which may have a full path of something like c:/program files/Metatrader4/experts/indicators/
3. Once you have the file in the proper directory, open up your MetaTrader 4 client.
4. On the left-hand side you'll see a navigator panel underneath your price quote panel.
5. Look for the folder named custom indicators.
6. When you see the name of your custom indicator right-click and select modify.
7. This will open up MetaEditor, you must compile the indicator program before it will run on your MetaTrader 4 platform.
8. You'll see compile on the MetaEditor menubar click it and make sure there are zero errors.

10. If there are no errors, you are free to use the program on any chart you wish.
11. Close the MetaEditor, and go back to your MetaTrader 4 platform. Now you can right-click your indicator and select attach to chart. Alternatively, you can simply click and drag the program onto a chart.
12. It should then begin processing your open or close signals.
